DIY Valentines Day Wreath

Do you have an empty or nearly empty cereal box?  Maybe some left over Christmas tissue paper?  I did and so I made a Valentines Day wreath with it!  Wanna know how?  YOU DO!  YAY!  I’ll show you how to make this SUPER SWEET WREATH for FREE!  Don’t you love FREE!  I DO!

I grabbed myself an empty cereal box and drew a heart on the inside of it.  I cut out the hearts.  Then I cut the inside of the heart out.  MAKE SURE you save your cereal box coupons!!
I folded up my tissue paper lengthwise and cut small strips from it.

Unfold your strips and swipe them with glue.  I used a glue stick but I’m sure school glue or Mod Pogde would work just fine.
Then twist up the strip and swipe it again on both sides with glue.
Now just roll the strips up.  Some will roll up the whole way, some you will have to twist a little more here and there and some you will have to add a little extra glue.
Please excuse the blue paint, lack of a manicure and hot glue gun finger tip burns. *Note to self- Fix up your hands lady, before you do a how to post!*

Once you have a bunch of these little rosettes your ready to glue them onto your cut out heart.
I colored my heart with a red sharpie first.  Then hot glued the rosettes on one by one.  I tried to get them as close to each other as I could without squishing them.

Then I took a strip of red tulle and hot glued it to the back.
What do you think?  I LOVE it!  I’m really happy with how sweet it looks up on my wall.  If you try this out I would LOVE to know and see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.
