Oh no! My Super Awesome Banner is Too Big!

I saw this ADORABLE Spring Banner that Myra with My Blessed Life made and it was LOVE at first sight!!  I KNEW I would be making one for our home!

I’ve made paper fan pinwheels before, so I got busy and made some more.
Once my pinwheels were done, I cut out some circles and letters.  I decided I wanted to make an Easter Banner that said He Is Risen.

I used that same little flower paper I borrowed from Alie that I used for my Spring Banner.  Then I used some packing tape as a template for a circle.  I traced some letters from stickers and hot glued it all together.  I LOVE how it came out.
I glued some twine on to my pinwheel letters.  IF I had followed Myra’s instructions THIS part would of been a lot easier!  It was a bit tricky gluing the string in the right places.

I have this great area that I planned for this banner.  If ONLY I had measured and calculated all would of been perfect.  BUT, my banner, my super awesome banner that I JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE is HUGE!  It’s so long I have NO IDEA what to do with it!  I hung it up here just so that I could have a look at it and show y’all.

BUT I LOVE IT!!!  Didn’t it come out great!?  I can’t wait to make a Birthday banner like this for Alie’s birthday in June.  When I hung up this one she started to sing Happy Birthday!  It was TOO CUTE!!!

So what do you think of my Super Awesome Banner that is TOO BIG!?!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Unless you've left something off, it fits perfectly on your wall and is just right for the Holiday! Now, finding a way to keep it for next year may be a little tricky, but you'll have it figured out, before long. Thanks for sharing a really beautifully decoration.

  2. Ami, I think your banner is just right. I can agree with your message, He is risen indeed! Love the pretty pastel colors. I bet Ali has lots of fun enjoying and helping with all your crafts.I hope you don't mind, but I liked your statement above the comment section so much that I copied it for my sidebar. I changed it just a little but it is your words. When I publish my next post (in a couple of days) I will be giving you credit. If that is not acceptable, please let me know and I will remove it. You are so right. It is frustrating to type up a response, hit send and then notice (no reply).Hugs, Ginger

  6. I thought the banner was so cute and used it at Judith's first birthday party. Since I didn't have a lot of space either, I cut the paper in half and then pinwheeled it. I also added some streamers in between the letters and put pictures on it. Check out my blog to see how it turned out. I gave you credit for the idea. :)
