Toilet Paper Art

If you read my Summer Mantel post then you saw I made my FIRST piece of TP art!!  And I LOVE it!!  So, I thought I’d write up a little tutorial for my awesome readers!  You HAVE to try this!  It looks great and it’s seriously inexpensive!

First, you have to collect a bunch of empty tp rolls.  Then, cut them up.  It helps to measure your cuts.  Keeps everything even.  I learned that because I DIDN’T measure and my petals are all a little off.

Here are just a few ways to shape them…

I hot glued mine onto this piece poster board.

I spray painted it white.  I hand painted just one flower green.

Then I hot glued the poster board onto the frame.  I also painted the wood framed brown.

Isn’t it great!?  I would LOVE to know if you try this and how it comes out!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I think this is awesome. I have a completely full box of toilet paper rolls waiting to be converted into art; I am so excited. I am glad I read this because I can use your helpful tricks! I am thinking about not mounting mine on a board or canvas and just hanging them from the wall…I'll tackle the "how" later.

  5. I saw your "toilet paper art" link on the Dittle Dattle link party and just had to come check it out. I'm glad I did! This is so awesome – I really want to try it sometime! I like that it has a 3-dimensional aspect to it. Did you also use hot glue to glue the "flowers" onto the posterboard? So creative!
