Time Management 101??

HELP!!!???!!!
I am TERRIBLE when I comes to time management.  I spend WAY to much time on Facebook, in the blogsphere, on pinterest!!  Then, the next thing I know it’s closing in on dinner time, the house is a wreck and my Alie is STILL in her PJ’s!  I want to find more time to be with her.  Find more time to be with my husband at the end of the day.

I get frustrated, angry and sometimes sad.  I see all these amazing posts, projects, and craftiness and I think I can’t even find the time just to look at them, let alone create and post!  It’s so overwhelming.  Where do “THEY” find the time!  Ya know who “they” are!  Those amazing bloggers we all look up too.  How to they do it??  Any one know?  Any tips?  Advice??

I will add this, I saw a post a while back from the lovely Shelley with House of Smiths, about running out of pre-scheduled posts.  I got me thinking and so I have actually complied a list of TO DO’s in my calender of Christmas and New Years ideas.  They are actually things I did this year but didn’t have the time to post.  So, this way I will have a few things already ready!!  I’m kinda excited about this new idea. Maybe I can do THAT more often.  Plan ahead instead of the usual mad dash to get a post done before said link party ends!  We’ll see how it works out, huh?
I want to take the time to be a better mom.

Teach Alice, have fun with her, love and nurture her.  I want to be a better wife, a better daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
And then, I also want to be a better blogger.  I get so frustrated sometimes that I just want to quit.  Truth be told, I LOVE blogging.  I love losing myself in the blogsphere.  I love being inspired and being the inspire-er.  I love reading and seeing other mom’s achievements, hopes, accomplishments, struggles.  It helps me get through my day.  And I hope to do the same for y’all.
it all comes down to this…

AND on a small side note: to add to things I don’t have time to do already, I have decided I want to do a photo challenge!  They seem like fun.  Anyone wanna do one with me?  Would it be fun to MAYBE do a link party at the end and everyone link up their pics?  All complied into one post right?
I found this on pinterest….

  1. Wonderful post! We all struggle with this issue, I think. I loved your answer to Bella (Bella Before and After) and time priorities, and where blogging falls. As far as dinner time, the best advice I ever got was to start dinner right after breakfast was cleared, before the distractions hit, and while you are still fresh. Pull together your ingredients, and do the prep work, and even set the table (if you need it for crafting!) Assemble casseroles, start the crockpot, cut your veggies — whatever you need to do to make the dinner hour go easier. Hope this helped?

  2. Sounds good House,We all have been through the same issues that your going through, its just finding a schedule that works for you, My kids are all grown and have there own lives, which leaves hubby and be so theres all kinds of time for me to do whatever, I do tend to over do it with blogging and quilling, I know my hubby feels left out, so I'm working on spending more time with him in the evenings! I wish I could be of some help, good luck, I'm sure it all will work out!!!Paula

  3. I love it mama. You know we've talked about all this before, but somehow the New Year brings back all those nasty feelings of not being good enough. So let me tell you girl, TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE, you know exactly what you'd tell me, and it's all true, but it's always easier to give than to take advice, isn't it?I love the idea of scheduling posts, and while I've done it several times, I've never done it well. Mostly only for guest posts, and so I want to actually do MY OWN posts, and just gather a bunch up, so I will never be without material. The only challenge then is actually linking up tp parties, which I SUCK at. THAT takes almost 10 times longer for me, I get distracted so easily, lol. As far as spending less time online, well, that's EASY, just stay away from the computer, lol. TRUST ME I know the feeling, and I used to spend countless hours online too, but thankfully I've never been too addicted to Facebook, he he. Make it a priority to get dressed, AND get Allie dressed every morning. Have her HELP you cook, at least 2 meals, kids love to cook, and bonus you eat healthy 🙂 Go to the library, park, whatever, just make it a point to take her somewhere almost every day. Hope this helps mama. I know it's hard, BUT its a new YEAR and I know you can do it. Love ya TONS, and miss ya too !!Hugs, Bella 🙂Bella Before and After Euro Style Cakes.

  4. I love the list of things to rationalize not doing today! I'm always coming up with a reason about why I didn't do something. And my husband's like "who cares? it will be here tomorrow!"

  5. All I can say is I'm not even a mommy yet!! Granted I work full time 5 days a week… But no kids! And I still feel like I don't have enough time. When you figure it out please share so I can just copy you mmmkay! 😉
