I joined the Snail Mail Social at cheers, bethani last month. This gift exchange is a little bit different then the ones I have done in the past. This is a surprise gift exchange. I STILL don’t know who gave me this adorable package!
Cute stuff, right?
I love this pretty card!
I love the hearts, the sticky tabs and post it notes, and how awesome is that lil Instagram photo album. My secret gift exchange pal actually made that for me.
See, you just adhere a printed Instagram pic inside. AND I had just come across this How-To post on Mod Podge Rocks for creating an Instagram photo album! Perfect timing, eh?
And she (my gift giver) made this adorable ribbon hair clip for Alice, and her sweet 2 yr old daughter picked out all these cute stickers for Alie, too! SO SWEET! I’m tellin y’all, you add anything for my kid and you’re instantly my favorite person ever!!!
How cute does Alie look with her new ribbon clip!!??
Here she is wearing it again. I titled this Instagram pic “lil miss rainbows”
Such great gifts, eh? I can not wait to find out who sent me all this cuteness!!!
Now, it’s my turn! My recipient is a photographer. She seems like a happy, fun girl who obviously LOVES color! So I decided to make her a matching set of photo props in all the colors of the rainbow.
Now, when I showed my mom her blog and facebook page, and then showed my mom what I had made for her, her first comment was “but she already has props like that”. Well, yes….she does, BUT she’s doesn’t have a whole set of matching props in fun bright rainbow colors!! I’m hoping my gift recipient thinks the same!!
I purchased this disguise design pack for the Silhoutte. Then used bright colored paper to cut out the designs. I used wood skewers and hot glued the paper to the skewer. I used buttons on the bow ties. Now, I did learn a lesson here. The paper was way to flimsy. I actually cut out all the designs using cardstock and mod podged the paper onto the cardstock. Now, I’m guessing that if I had just used cardstock in the first place it would of saved me a lot of time and sticky fingers!!
I also cut some pinwheels to add to the set.
Well, I cut each of those hearts by hand. This wreath has been pinned almost 5,ooo times on pinterest! I saw one pinner had mentioned that they couldn’t believe I cut this by hand and why wouldn’t I just use a punch. Well, as stated in my post, I didn’t have one at the time. Now that I have a few, OMG…..why did I cut that all by hand! LOL
Anywho…..back to the props!
Would y’all like to see the props in action!?? Yes?? Well, hear ya go….
Super cute, right?? I really hope my gift exchange partener likes them! I also hope I didn’t send any cat hair with it!! LOL
So, what do y’all think?? Fun photo props? They were really easy and super inexpensive to make. I’m actually going to make a few for us to play with next time I have the camera out.
