I have an awesome recipe for y’all today! It’s easy. It’s delicious. It’s healthy and most important, it’s kid approved. We have SECRET veggies inside; cauliflower and spinach. Both of these vegetables have wonderful health benefits.

One of the tricks to this HEALTHY recipe is the secret cauliflower that is in it. You finely chop the cauliflower in a food processor, then fold it in to the ricotta cheese. It creates a lighter yummy filling that it’s heavy and is extra healthy.

Then you layer the other ingredients and bake for approximately 40 minutes and at the end you have an incredibly delicious, healthy, kid approved dish for the whole family.

I say “Kid Approved” proudly!! My super picky, I only eat Mac n Cheese and Chicken Nuggets, daughter gives this recipe a thumbs up! Honestly y’all, I was ecstatic that she likes this recipe!!! She really is so picky!

  • 2 pounds lean ground turkey breast
  • 2 cups part skim shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups finely chopped fresh cauliflower
  • 1 10oz box frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 32oz container of part skim ricotta cheese
  • 2 24oz jars of Barilla sauce
  • 1 box Barilla Oven-Ready Lasagne
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 gloves crushed and chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  1. Chop onion and measure out about a cup. Then peal, crush and chopped 2 cloves of garlic. Saute 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large saute pan until slightly brown. Add ground turkey and cook thoroughly until no longer pink. Set cooked ground turkey aside.
  2. Finely chop a whole small cauliflower in a food processor. Fold finely chopped cauliflower into ricotta cheese.
  3. Spray 9x13 inch baking pan and pour Barilla sauce into pan until it just covers the bottom. Add a single layer of the Barilla No Bake lasagne noodles on top of the sauce. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Top the noodles with half of the ricotta/cauliflower filling, then add half of the spinach. Add shredded mozzarella and then another layer of red sauce.
  5. Add another layer of noodles on top of the red sauce. Top that with the rest of the ricotta/cauliflower filling and the rest of the spinach. Top that with more mozzarella.
  6. Add another layer of red sauce, then the last layer of noodles. Top this with a thick layer of red sauce and another layer of mozzarella. Top with parmesan cheese. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake at 375 F for 25 minutes.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until brown and bubbling.
  8. Remove the lasagna from the oven and allow to set for 15 minutes before cutting.

  1. I loved this lasagna! It was so easy to make.
    One thing missing in the directions above is adding the layer of ground turkey. I didn’t realize it until after I finished the first layer of noodles, sauce, spinach, and cheese. I was able to go back and try to fill in the meat between the sauce and spinach.
    Other than that, great recipe :)!
